This year, using cut paper and stitches, I created the poster for the annual event called Grandma Party. It's held in Orlando FL at Stardust Video and Coffee (1842 Winter Park Rd.), and many craft makers, artists, and artisans have booths and sell wares. (Generally December, the week before Christmas, each year).

Chandrasekhar's Hearts
Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar was the Nobel Laureate for his work in the theoretical structure and evolution of stars
Small Universe: Tiny Galaxies
is a collaboration between Chelsey Hyatt and Courtney Matzke. It is primarily inspired by Stephen Hawking, who believes one could say: "the boundary condition of the universe is that it has no boundary." In this scenario, the universe would be completely self-contained and not affected by anything outside itself. Our resin cast galaxy necklaces, Chandrasekhar's Hearts, reflect the concept that while the galaxy is vast, we are encrypted in ourselves, our communities, our beliefs, and so on. And that containment extends a beautiful mystery to the grand scheme of things.
The collaboration between Courtney Matzke and myself took place for the Pink Light Bazaar in Orlando, Florida, on June 5th, at Red Light Red Light. I am home again...
